Build with us

Construction accounts for 25% of global CO₂ emissions and remains less productive than 50 years ago. Maestro rewrites that equation by industrializing the construction process and automating on-site assembly with software.

We’re building the engine behind tomorrow’s construction site. Born from research at MIT and the University of Cambridge, Maestro turns production models and engineering inputs into software-defined assembly: real-time 3D instructions for crews (and soon, machines) to automate the build process.

Product

Maestro Pilot: a web platform that converts models, engineering, and site feedback into interactive 3D manuals and real-time completion
tracking.

Traction

Paperless assembly and faster installs on mass-timber and steel projects across Europe and the US; manufacturers are entering enterprise trials.

Backing

€500,000 internal investment in software to date, bootstrapped by project delivery.

Upside

We are looking for talent that is ready to take ownership of their work. Ownership is a two way street: top performers earn equity.

The Product: Maestro Pilo is: a web platform that converts models, engineering, and site feedback into interactive 3D manuals and real-time completion tracking. Our platform digests massive BIM models, uses AI to generate logical assembly sequences, and visualizes them in a custom 3D engine. We are building the operating system for the next generation of construction.

The mission: We are processing heavy BIM models in the browser, which requires rendering and managing massive chunks of data across datagrids, flowcharts, and 3D visualizations.Your mission is to build the application backbone that creates this experience.

What you will solve: You will architect a Single-Page Application (SPA) that seamlessly integrates a custom high-performance rendering engine (handling 1M+ objects). You are the bridge that connects massive geometric datasets to the user’s fingertips.

Core Competencies

  • Modern UI Architecture: You understand the “physics” of the frontend: VDOM diffing, memoization, reconciliation, batching, and scheduling. While we use React (including SSR/RSC + Hydration), we value the fundamental understanding of how to control rendering strategies, change detection, and reactivity above all else.

  • Complex Data Visualization: Experience rendering and managing state for huge chunks of data presented in diverse forms: datagrids, interactive flowcharts, and 3D overlays. You are comfortable using virtualization, lazy loading, and caching to keep the UI native-feeling.

  • Advanced State Management: Mastery of mutability vs. immutability. Whether using Redux, Zustand, or XState, you know how to manage granular reads (selectors) and handle complex async middleware.

  • Database Theory & SQL: A theoretical and practical grasp of SQL internals (Joins, Indexes, Transactions). You know how to optimize for synchronous query execution to feed data rapidly to the frontend.

  • Algorithms & Data Structures: Since we deal with BIM data (Graphs, Trees, Adjacency Matrices), you must be comfortable with traversal algorithms (DFS/BFS) to manipulate project structures efficiently.

What you will do

  • Architectural Migration: Lead the strategic transition of our platform from a Multi-Page Application (MPA) to a high-performance Single-Page Application (SPA).

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • With the Graphics Lead: Manage the bi-directional data flow between the React UI and the custom Three.js rendering engine. You will ensure that UI overlays (annotations, selection menus) stay perfectly synced with the 3D canvas state.

    • With the AI Engineer: Visualize the output of our AI agents. You will build interactive chatbots implementing advanced streaming techniques and artefacts rendering.

  • Performance & Optimization: Conduct rigorous benchmarking and A/B testing. You will actively audit and reduce reliance on third-party libraries, preferring custom, lightweight implementations.

The Reality of the Role

  • Morning: Collaborating with the Lead Graphics Engineer to optimize how metadata is passed to the 3D viewer, ensuring that clicking a “Beam” in your React datagrid instantly highlights the object in the 3D canvas without dropping frames.

  • Mid-Day: Optimizing a recursive SQL query that fetches hierarchical project data, ensuring it fits within a single transaction.

  • Afternoon: Refactoring a heavy flowchart component moving from a bloated library to a custom SVG implementation to improve performance.

What we offer:

  • Real ownership. Your code ships to live job‑sites and shapes the product roadmap.

  • Steep growth curve. Work side‑by‑side with founders, learn fast, and level up quicker than at any big company.

  • Skin in the game. Top performers earn equity—share in the upside you help create.

Startup energy, real‑world impact. Small team, big problems, visible results on landmark projects.

Our platform digests massive BIM models, uses AI to generate logical assembly sequences, and visualizes them in a custom 3D engine. We are building the operating system for the next generation of construction.

The Mission: Build the brain of our platform: an engine that automatically parses complex BIM models into logical, step-by-step assembly tasks.

What you will solve: Currently, our users manually select parts to create tasks. Your job is to make this autonomous. You will build agents that understand:

  • Semantics: “This object is labeled ‘IPE-300’, so it is a structural beam.”

  • Topology: “This beam is connected to these two columns.”

  • Sequence: “Because of gravity and connectivity, the columns must be installed before the beam.”

Core competence:

  • You don’t just process text; you process space and structure.

  • You have experience with Geometric Deep Learning, Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), or 3D Computer Vision.

  • You are comfortable with Computational Geometry (meshes, bounding boxes, collision detection).

  • You are pragmatic: You know when to use a simple heuristic algorithm (Graph traversal) and when to train a Neural Network.

  • Bonus: Experience with LLMs/RAG for processing unstructured metadata.

  • Bonus: Background in Architecture, BIM, or Robotics/Path Planning.

What you’ll do:

  • Immediate Need: Build a “Smart Grouper” using metadata clustering to suggest task groupings to users.

  • Mid-Term: Utilize our new Speckle integration to extract geometric adjacency (what touches what) to build a dependency graph of the building.

  • Long-Term: Prototype an automated “Assembly Solver” that suggests a valid construction sequence based on the dependency graph.

What we offer:

  • Real ownership. Your code ships to live job‑sites and shapes the product roadmap.
