Build with us

Construction generates 25 % of global CO₂ yet delivers less per worker than it did 50 years ago. Maestro rewrites that equation by industrializing the construction process and automating on-site assembly with software.

Maestro is a startup born from research at MIT and the University of Cambridge. Our mission: use software to change the way we build—turning design data into clear, real‑time instructions for the people (and soon machines) that assemble our world.
  • Product.  Maestro Pilot is a web-based tool that converts BIM/CAD models, engineering inputs and site feedback into interactive 3‑D assembly manuals for crew & real-time completion tracking for the client.
  • Proof. We bootstrapped our business by proving the advantage of our technology in the field. Since launching 24 months ago, Maestro Tech has built mass-timber and steel projects in Europe and the United States. Real-time coordination on those jobs slashed re-work, compressed schedules, and cut carbon.
  • Next.  Manufacturers are lining up for enterprise trials. We’re expanding the software team to ship the next‑gen Pilot and make digital assembly the industry default.

Join us early—you’ll ship code that lands on active job‑sites, learn fast, and help rewrite the playbook for how buildings get made.

🧪 What You’ll Do
Internships at Maestro are designed to onboard young talent into our organisation. We do this by giving you ownership from day 0. As an intern, you will be in charge of a small but high-impact exploratory project. We will define the scope of your project and you will execute for the duration of your internship. Successful execution = a full time position in our engineering team.
We have 3 different projects in mind:
🤖 / AI Tooling & Suggestions
  • Test AI client integrations (Langchain / Open AI API / Vercel AI)
  • Building AI agents for our internal DB
🧩 / 3D & WebGL Experiments
  • Prototype interactive tools inside our 3D viewer (Three.js / Autodesk Forge Viewer)
  • Test geometry interpretation techniques from IFC data
3 🌐 / Real-Time Updates, Events, Notification system
  • Research & prototype real-time notification systems (WebSocket, polling, server events)
  • Transactional email services integration (Nodemailer, SendGrid)

🧠 Requirements:
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Tailwind CSS, and Next.js
  • Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and database schemas
  • Familiarity with Git
  • Willingness to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

✅ Bonus Points For:
  • Knowledge in 3D graphics and CAD
  • Agentic AI development experience

Life at Maestro Tech

Turin HQ with a global reach

Our offices in the foothills of the Alps, shared with the renowned architecture practice CRA‑Carlo Ratti  Associati, are now home to colleagues from 3 continents. Our location is at the heart of Europe’s most concentrated manufacturing cluster and rewards us with spectacular nature, which we celebrate on twice‑yearly retreats to the mountains in winter and the lakes in summer.

A culture of (digital) craftsmanship

Our name is a tribute to the medieval master builders, craftsmen who commanded every step of a project: its design, engineering, fabrication and assembly. Maestro’s software and operations bring that same end‑to‑end command to today’s construction sites. To deliver this, every team member is a craftsman in their own right, taking pride in the solutions they shape – whether through elegant simplicity, impeccable client service, or bold innovation.

A growth mindset

We’re a company of doers where you and your work matter. From day one you own your domain – free to experiment, learn, and deliver tangible results. Step up, deliver impact, and your growth will track the value you create.
